Hi, I’m Bridget

I’m so glad that you’re here.

Working Together

I believe that the foundation of effective therapy lies in the relationship between therapist and client – that’s why it’s important to me that you know a little bit about me and my practice.

It is my priority to create a space that's trusting, warm, and free from judgment so that you feel supported and understood, while also welcoming the challenge of exploring new perspectives and ways of coping.

While I often use humor to lighten the mood – because we all need some more laughter in our days – I'm dedicated to diving deep into the areas causing you anxiety, stress, or discomfort. Together, we'll collaborate as a team to develop treatment goals tailored to your unique life circumstances. As an anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I value discussing all aspects of your identity in our work together.

My Approach & Types of Therapy Provided

In therapy, I take an integrative approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

CBT helps identify patterns in thinking that influence behavior and emotions.

ACT fosters acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings while aligning with personal values.

DBT emphasizes mindfulness and distress tolerance for managing intense emotions.

These theories work together to holistically acknowledge, support, and overcome the challenges you may be facing.

A Focus on Perinatal Mental Health & Parenting

My journey to becoming a therapist began with a doctorate in clinical psychology from Loyola University of Maryland. While my training initially focused on child and pediatric psychology, my work in hospitals revealed a need for support among parents navigating their own anxieties and parenting challenges. Inspired by my experiences as a parent myself, I pursued further training in perinatal mental health. As a trained child psychologist, I have unique insight into child development, which helps to support my understanding of the challenges parents face.

Get to Know Me

On a personal note, I reside in Dayton, Ohio, with my husband and two children. When I'm not in the therapy room, you can often find me indulging in trashy reality TV, going for a run, or sipping on my favorite chai tea.
